I am now working on my control issues, and perfectionism. Being able to make amends in all different ways is really motivating in my recovery and shows my daughter the meaning of humility, honesty and integrity. My next steps after graduating are to go back to school to get a diploma or certificate to really get a good job. I am currently working for SA, doing some job training to get some work experience in the field that I am leaning towards. Now I am inspired to work with women in addiction and sexual exploitation to give back to the community that has helped me. I already have such a passion for it and love to teach and help people. So I am either going to go with addiction worker/counselor or social worker."

There was a time when I had no hope for change, no support and no place to rest my weary soul. Since coming to this program I have been given a home and a second chance. Slowly, the fear, guilt and shame associated with my past have faded away. I am healed, completely. The scars the trauma has left in my heart are only the reminder that I have stood victorious over it all. Now, I am helping others who are going through similar experiences. I am very happy now because I've officially started working in the program for women like me who have experienced abuse and exploitation. I cannot possibly express how grateful I am for this opportunity! Thank you so much everyone! You've made a big difference in my life and in the lives of many others girls at the Recovery Home. God Bless You!"

Since being at SA, I have done an enormous amount of healing on my addiction and self-esteem through the curriculum provided here. I have learned a lot about myself and about how to carry myself through life with my head held high. I have learned how to incorporate the tools I have learned into my daily parenting and other affairs in a healthy and positive way. After graduating from the SA program, I have moved out into my own apartment with my child. I know that the SA Foundation will support me on my transition into my future. I have hopes of going back to school next fall to pursue my career and continue in my recovery community as well as stay connected with my friends and the staff of SA."
