The Global Wonder products you see listed in our online store are all handmade. Therefore, colours, shapes and bead sizes may vary slightly from the pictures shown. Additionally, colours may vary depending on your monitor - if you have any questions or concerns, contact us!
Are your Global Wonders Products hypoallergenic?
We use stainless steel or nickel free metals in all our pieces. We do our best to source metals that are Lead & Nickel free for all chains, earring hooks and beads. However, not all vendors in the past have been truthful about the type of metal they were selling - thus ending our partnership with them. If you have an issue with your piece you can return or exchange it within 30 days of your purchase.
Who designs Global Wonders products?
All Global Wonders products are designed by either women in our SA Foundation recovery program in Vancouver, Canada; our in-house designer; or amazing volunteers who participate in a Global Wonders Design Night (you'll see their names given design credit in the product description). Part of our Global Wonders training for the women in our Vancouver SAF program is in jewelry/product design.

Where are Global Wonders products made and who makes them?
All our Global Wonders products are handmade in Kathmandu, Nepal by women who have escaped human trafficking & exploitation. The women who make all our pieces have gone through the SA Foundation's recovery program in Nepal and are working in our Global Wonders Training & Production Centre; here they gain dignified employment training and are able to continue their education and work towards their future goals while employed. You will see the name of the woman who made your Global Wonders piece on a card attached to it! You can think of her and her brave journey to freedom every time you wear it!
Does Global Wonders restock all its products?
We restock pieces based on customer demand, material availability, and other factors. We LOVE restocking Global Wonders pieces, because it means that you guys have bought them all! When you see a piece that is out of stock, there is usually a box that says “Notify me when this product is available”; you can sign up there to be notified if it gets restocked.
Do I have to pay sales tax on my Global Wonders order?
Yes, all customers have to pay sales tax.
The website won't let me check out - what should I do?
Oh no! That is so frustrating. Our little team is made up of real people who shop online too and we know how annoying that is! Please contact us and we will do our best to sort out the issue as soon as possible. Also if you could help us out by including what device you were using (mobile phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer) and what web browser you were using (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer, etc.) this will help us in communicating with IT support.
Can I change my shipping address on my order?
We will certainly try! Email email@example.com with your information as soon as possible. We try to accommodate all requests like this, but our Global Wonders interns may have already sent out your order. They are usually pretty fast! We will do our best to change your address and let you know via email.
Can I change or cancel my order?
If you want to change or cancel your order, please contact us ASAP. We will do our best to make the change or cancel it, but know that our Global Wonders interns are very fast, so your order may have already have gone out! We will email you and let you know. If your order has already gone out, you can still return your jewelry within 30 days for a refund/exchange (but you will have to pay return shipping!).
How do I use a coupon/discount code?
We LOVE giving you guys coupon codes, so stay tuned into our Instagram stories and emails for future coupons! If you’re having trouble figuring out how to use your coupon code, we can help you! After adding pieces to your shopping cart, click on “view cart,” then enter the coupon code in the box under “discount code.” After clicking “apply coupon,” you should have a new total balance.
How soon will my order be shipped?
All orders are sent via Canada Post (regular mail without tracking) within 2-5 business days of being ordered. It generally takes 7-10 business days across Canada & the U.S. to receive your order in the mail. You can choose to have your item shipped Xpresspost under shipping options for an additional cost and this will include a tracking number - this usually takes 2-3 business days to receive in the mail. If you would like to upgrade your shipping further or add insurance please contact us.

What is Global Wonders Return Policy?
We accept returns within 30 days of the original purchase date. All returned items must be sent back in their original condition with all original packaging and the order receipt. Once we've received your return in the mail you will be credited in the same form as the original payment type. Original shipping & handling charges are non-refundable. Global Wonders is not responsible for return shipping costs.

How do I return my Global Wonders Order?
If you’d like to return your jewelry, we accept returns for ANY reason up to 30 days after the purchase date. Is Global Wonders Fair Trade?
While our products are not registered as Fair Trade, we ensure a fair wage for each woman within our Skills Development Program in Nepal. Whether she is involved full-time or part-time in the Global Wonders Training & Production Centre, or going to school full-time or part-time, she is equally financially supported. The SA Foundation recognizes that she has no family and no social welfare to help her achieve her goals. Consequently, we are committed as the SA Foundation to fill in the gap for each woman within our Nepal program.
In our Skills Development Program in Vancouver, Canada the women receive training grants to support their monthly needs and to reflect a work environment to grow their confidence & skills as they pursue their future goals.

Some definitions of exploitation are:
‘Trafficking in Persons’ shall mean the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or receipt of persons, by means of threat or force or other forms of coercion, of abduction, of fraud, of deception, of the abuse of power or of a position of vulnerability or of the giving or receiving of payments or benefits to achieve the consent of a person having control over another person, for the purpose of exploitation.
Exploitation shall include, at a minimum, the exploitation of the prostitution of others or other forms of sexual exploitation, forced labour or services, slavery or practices similar to slavery, servitude or the removal of organs.
[December 2000, The Palermo Protocol, the United Nations defines trafficking in article 3.].
The SA Foundation purports that any kind of prostitution IS sexual exploitation. Whether the young girls end up on the streets voluntarily or not, they are still being abused and exploited for the benefit of others – both the customers and the pimps, brothel owners or escort agency reps that arrange their sale.
